In the space of four years, Trent Alexander-Arnold has evolved from Liverpool Under-23 player to one of the key figures in their Champions League and Premier League triumphs.

We’ve revisited the final Liverpool Under-23 team Alexander-Arnold played in before making his senior competitive debut against Tottenham in October 2016.

Liverpool’s second-string drew 1-1 with a Manchester United team featuring Scott McTominay and Axel Tuanzebe, although it’s fair to say no other player on the pitch that day has reached the heights of Alexander-Arnold.
