St. Pete eyes Rays name change; team opposed

The St. Petersburg City Council debated the possibility of changing the Rays' name to the St. Petersburg Rays but the team says it is opposed to the idea, which it says could torpedo the entire $6.5 billion ballpark and downtown redevelopment project.
